Care and Support

Congregational Care

Trinity United Methodist Church believes in providing opportunities for all who call this church home to be in ministry to one another.  There are many ways in which we practice this ministry.

Many needs such as visiting the sick or shut-ins can be met with a minimum amount of training.  Other situations which involve chaplaincy type counseling will require advanced training.  This training will be provided by our own Congregational Care Ministers (CCMs) who have received training from Church of the Resurrection United Methodist Church.

If you are interested in serving as a Congregational Care Minister or if you need this service for someone you know call (501) 666-2813, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

OASIS (Older Adults Sharing in Service)

Anyone 55 years of age or older will enjoy a monthly luncheon with our OASIS group.  These folks get together every third Thursday of the month in Martin Hall for a delicious meal followed by an interesting and entertaining program.  It’s agood time to visit, learn, and meet new people.  The cost of the meal is only $9.00 and all are welcome! Call (501)666-2813, or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Flower Delivery Ministry

Each Monday a volunteer arranges the altar flowers from Sunday’s service into one or more bouquets to give to a patient or a shut-in.  The arrangements are then delivered to whomever designated by Pastoral Care.  These flowers are a token of our church’s love for them and the flowers are always much appreciated.  If you would like to serve in this ministry contact Judy Parker at (501) 225-0913 or email This email address is being protected from spambots. Prayer Shawl Ministry

Prayer Shawl Guild members knit or crochet shawls for the good of others.  Through member’s prayers, they hope to convey to the recipients that whatever trials or crossroads they are going through, Trinity United Methodist is with them.

The guild knits and crochets for adults, children and newborn babies.  They make scarves for high school graduating seniors and have provided scarves for the Winter Olympics.  Additionally, members participate in a program to provide shawls at Annual Conference for surviving spouses of clergy.

Specific opportunities include:

Knit or crochet scarves
Tie fringe on shawls
Attach a cross and name tag to completed shawl
Learn how to knit and/or crochet
